How our headache care supports your decision

A plan based on your exam

The care plan follows your health history, symptoms, movement, and exam findings. We don't apply one technique to every headache concern.

Plain explanations before care

Our patient-focused chiropractic team explains the purpose of each method, including adjustment, soft tissue therapy, and posture training, before care begins.

A clear limit on chiropractic care

Headache care is the wrong fit when symptoms point to a serious medical issue or need a different type of evaluation. We discuss the next step when that concern appears.

Process

How we plan and deliver headache care

1

Complete the new patient intake

We collect your health history and ask about headaches, neck pain, accidents, daily activities, and past care.

2

Check movement and posture

The exam considers neck motion, upper-back movement, posture, and soft tissue tension. X-rays are discussed if clinically indicated.

3

Explain the care options

We review the findings and explain whether chiropractic adjustment, soft tissue therapy, posture training, or neck exercises fit your needs.

4

Start the personalized plan

Care begins with the methods that match your findings and comfort. We answer questions before treatment starts.

5

Review progress and next steps

A progress re-examination helps us discuss changes in symptoms, movement, and the ongoing care plan.

What this care can change for daily comfort

A focused exam helps connect headache symptoms with related neck and posture concerns.

Clear explanations help you understand why a method belongs in your care plan.

Posture training may help you spot habits that add strain during work or daily tasks.

Soft tissue therapy addresses muscle tension that may accompany neck discomfort.

Regular maintenance may support ongoing movement and comfort when it fits your needs.

Edit: still first class treatment each visit! Love that my wellbeing is so important to y’all! Edit: Have been multiple times now and the service is as good as the first time! Great customer service. Great atmosphere. I was greeted immediately upon arrival. The young lady at the front (Catherine) was very professional. When I was taken back by was helped by another young lady, Courtney, and seen by Dr Keating took time to find out what was hurting and did an amazing job helping to fix it. I felt that everyone there treated it as more than “just a job” and treated the patients as more than just a number.

Questions about headache care and chiropractic methods

To set clear expectations, what techniques may be used for headache treatment before the crew arrives on site?

Neck exercises may support headache care with chiropractic adjustment, soft tissue therapy, and posture training. The exam helps us choose the right mix for your symptoms. We review your health history, movement, and related neck pain before recommending care. Each method has a different purpose, so we explain why it fits your plan.

Who provides headache care through this clinic?

Arrowhead Clinic Chiropractor McDonough provides headache care through its chiropractic team. Dr. Robbyn Keating, DC, leads the McDonough office. She joined Arrowhead Clinic in 2016 and holds a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic. Our team explains findings and available care options in plain language.

How does the first headache visit work?

The first visit starts with a new patient intake, health history, and exam. We ask about headache patterns, neck pain, accidents, posture, and daily activities. X-rays may be discussed if clinically indicated. The report of findings explains what we found and which care options may fit.

When should headache care involve another medical evaluation?

Headache care should involve another medical evaluation when symptoms suggest a serious condition or fall outside musculoskeletal care. Sudden severe symptoms, major changes, or concerning signs need prompt medical attention. We can discuss your history and findings, but chiropractic care doesn't replace urgent medical assessment when warning signs appear.

Which part of the visit affects the care cost?

The examination findings and selected care methods affect the cost of headache care. Related accident injuries, soft tissue therapy, and the needs of a personalized plan may also matter. We provide free estimates and explain the recommended services before care begins. Ask our team what the estimate includes.

Why might posture training be part of headache care?

Posture training may be included when daily positions add strain to the neck or upper back. We review how you sit, stand, work, and move during the exam. The guidance focuses on practical changes you can understand and use. It supports hands-on care but doesn't replace evaluation of the headache itself.
