Headache care for Irondale patients with neck-related symptoms

Headache treatment is for people who notice head pain with neck stiffness, muscle tension, whiplash, or another injury concern. The visit focuses on the headache pattern and the body areas that may affect it.

A headache visit does not replace emergency medical care or a medical diagnosis. Our team reviews your health history, performs an exam, and explains whether chiropractic care suits the findings. This focused decision helps you understand what the next step involves before care begins.

  • Note when the headache starts and what symptoms appear with it.
  • Bring any available details about an accident, neck pain, or earlier care.
  • Ask which findings connect the headache with the neck or surrounding muscles.
  • Confirm what the proposed care plan includes before treatment begins.

Process

How our team handles a headache care visit

1

Record the headache pattern

The new patient intake covers your symptoms, health history, injury details, and current concerns.

2

Examine the neck and related areas

Our team checks the neck and surrounding areas, then considers whether the findings match a chiropractic care approach.

3

Explain the report of findings

We explain what the exam found and answer questions about the proposed care.

4

Set a personalized care plan

The plan may include spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, or other chiropractic care suited to the findings.

5

Review progress during care

A progress re-examination reviews changes in symptoms and helps guide the next care discussion.

Edit: still first class treatment each visit! Love that my wellbeing is so important to y’all! Edit: Have been multiple times now and the service is as good as the first time! Great customer service. Great atmosphere. I was greeted immediately upon arrival. The young lady at the front (Catherine) was very professional. When I was taken back by was helped by another young lady, Courtney, and seen by Dr Keating took time to find out what was hurting and did an amazing job helping to fix it. I felt that everyone there treated it as more than “just a job” and treated the patients as more than just a number.

I came to Arrowhead Clinic after a car accident, and I’m so grateful I did. From the very first visit, the entire team made me feel comfortable and supported. They explained everything clearly and took the time to understand exactly what I needed. The treatment plan they created helped me feel better week by week, and I could tell they genuinely cared about my recovery. The clinic is clean, organized, and very professional — plus, appointments always ran on time, which I appreciated. If you’ve been in an accident or just need chiropractic care, I highly recommend Arrowhead Clinic. Their staff is knowledgeable, kind, and truly committed to helping you heal.

Questions about headache care and chiropractic visits

What types of headaches may respond to chiropractic treatment for Headache Treatment?

Migraine symptoms, tension headaches, stress headaches, and cervicogenic headaches may respond when neck or muscle factors contribute. The first visit includes a health history and exam to review those links. Results vary, and chiropractic care does not replace medical evaluation for symptoms that need urgent attention.

How does the first visit check a recurring headache?

The first visit checks your headache pattern, health history, neck movement, and related symptoms.

  1. Our team records the complaint during intake.
  2. The exam checks the neck and surrounding areas.
  3. The report of findings explains whether chiropractic care fits.

Bring details about triggers, injury history, and earlier care if available.

Which details should I confirm before agreeing to care for Headache Treatment?

The proposed plan, exam findings, treatment methods, and expected follow-up should be clear before you agree. Ask which symptoms the plan addresses and what would call for another medical evaluation. Our team explains these points in plain language, so you can make an informed choice about care.

When should headache symptoms receive medical evaluation first?

Sudden, severe, or unusual headache symptoms need medical evaluation before chiropractic care. Symptoms with major weakness, confusion, fainting, or serious injury also require urgent attention. Chiropractic care fits a different decision point, after the relevant health history and exam support that approach.

Why might neck pain matter during a headache visit?

Neck pain matters because muscle tension, limited movement, and whiplash may accompany some headache patterns. The exam looks at those related findings instead of treating the head pain alone. Our team then explains whether spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, or another next step fits the visit.

What should I bring before headache care starts?

Bring a list of current concerns, relevant health details, and any accident or earlier treatment records you have. You can also note when symptoms start and what makes them worse. These details help our team complete the intake and explain the findings with better context.
