Supporting Clients Across Irondale

Myofascial release therapy focuses on soft tissue that feels tight, tender, or limited during movement. It may fit people with neck pain, back pain, whiplash, sports injuries, or accident-related discomfort.

The visit starts with your health history and an exam. We look at how the affected area moves, then use hands-on pressure and controlled stretching based on the findings. The goal is to help you understand whether soft tissue care belongs in your personalized treatment plan.

This service has limits. Severe symptoms, a new serious injury, or signs outside routine musculoskeletal care may call for medical assessment before hands-on treatment. Our team discusses those concerns during the intake.

  • Describe where pain, tightness, or limited movement occurs.
  • Bring details about any car accident, workplace injury, sports injury, or fall.
  • Expect a health history, physical exam, and mobility check before care.
  • Ask how soft tissue therapy fits your personalized treatment plan.

How We Approach This Hands-On Care

Assessment before hands-on work

Your symptoms and movement guide the session. We check the area first, then choose pressure and stretching that fit the findings.

A plan built around your injury

Car accident injuries, whiplash, workplace injuries, and sports injuries can present differently. Our patient-focused chiropractic team explains the care plan in plain language.

Know when another evaluation fits

Myofascial release therapy is not the right first step for every complaint. Severe or unusual symptoms may require medical assessment before hands-on care.

A situation this service fits

A person in Irondale may seek soft tissue care after a car accident when neck movement feels tight and daily tasks become uncomfortable. We review the injury history, assess movement, and explain whether myofascial work fits the broader chiropractic plan.

Edit: still first class treatment each visit! Love that my wellbeing is so important to y’all! Edit: Have been multiple times now and the service is as good as the first time! Great customer service. Great atmosphere. I was greeted immediately upon arrival. The young lady at the front (Catherine) was very professional. When I was taken back by was helped by another young lady, Courtney, and seen by Dr Keating took time to find out what was hurting and did an amazing job helping to fix it. I felt that everyone there treated it as more than “just a job” and treated the patients as more than just a number.

Questions About Hands-On Soft Tissue Care

When planning ahead, what does a myofascial release therapy session involve when reviewing project requirements?

Slow stretching starts the session after we check your symptoms and movement. Arrowhead Clinic Chiropractor McDonough then uses sustained pressure, fascial assessment, and mobility testing to guide soft tissue care. The team explains each step in plain language. Your health history and injury details help determine how this service fits your personalized treatment plan.

How does the first visit begin after an accident?

The first visit begins with a new patient intake and health history. We ask about the accident, pain pattern, movement limits, and prior care. The exam may include mobility testing and a report of findings. You don't need an attorney before discussing personal injury treatment, and our team can explain available chiropractic care options.

Which symptoms should stop hands-on treatment?

Severe or unusual symptoms should be assessed before hands-on treatment begins. New weakness, major loss of function, or symptoms that concern you need careful medical review. We discuss your health history and perform an exam first. Myofascial release therapy may not fit every complaint, so our team explains the safest next step.

When does soft tissue care fit an injury plan?

Soft tissue care fits an injury plan when tissue tension and limited movement match the exam findings. We may discuss it for whiplash, back pain, neck pain, sports injuries, or workplace injuries. The plan also considers the injury history and your response to care. Individual results vary, so progress checks guide later decisions.

Why might pressure feel focused on one area?

Focused pressure targets tissue that feels tight or tender during the assessment. The location may relate to the movement problem you report, but the exam guides the choice. We explain what we find and adjust the approach to your comfort. Tell our team if pressure increases pain or creates a new concern.

What changes the estimate for this service?

The assessment, areas involved, and treatment plan guide the estimate for this service. A consultation helps us understand your symptoms and the type of care discussed. Free estimates are available, but the estimate isn't a treatment outcome or a guarantee. Ask our team what the estimate covers before you proceed.
