How We Approach Fall Injury Care

1

Record the fall and symptoms

We start with a new patient intake and health history. You describe the fall, pain pattern, movement changes, and any symptoms that concern you.

2

Examine movement and painful areas

The examination checks spinal movement, joint function, muscle tension, and other findings linked to your symptoms. X-rays may be considered if clinically indicated.

3

Explain the report of findings

We review what the examination shows and explain whether chiropractic care fits the problem. Questions are welcome before you decide on care.

4

Set a personalized care plan

If treatment fits, we outline the care plan and discuss methods such as diversified technique or soft tissue therapy.

5

Review progress

Progress re-examinations help us discuss changes in symptoms and movement as care continues.

The staff here is beyond amazing. I love the freedom I have had from the beginning of my treatments to pace myself with whatever exercises I wanted to do on my own. It feels good to have been in a no pressure zone and to completely have my injuries cured by the end of my treatment. It’s bittersweet to be finishing up my treatments today. Everybody makes you feel like family instead of a number. The fact that they can remember each patient by name is so amazing to me. I loved it here☺️

The staff at the Hwy 20 facility in McDonough are very friendly. I felt welcomed when I called before starting treatment. When I arrive the first day for my first day the paper work was alot but I was incorraged to take my time. The people who work at this facility made me feel like family not just a patient. My treatment was not rushed. I was incorraged to go at my own pace. The facility is clean and well maintained. The Doctor was very professional and friendly. She listened to my complaints and concerns. She adjusted my treatment to my pain level. She did not rush to get me out of her office. She is patient and truly concerned about her patients. She and her staff are good people who show how they are concerned about the people who use their facilty. They are patient and welcoming. I do recommend their service to others in need.

The facility is clean, and always well prepped. I feel way better than when I started my treatment. Definitely would recommend.

Questions About Fall Injury Care

What injuries can follow a slip and fall?

Back injuries, neck injuries, joint sprains, muscle strains, and headaches can follow a slip and fall. Arrowhead Clinic Chiropractor McDonough evaluates these concerns through a health history and physical exam. Tell the team where you landed, what changed afterward, and whether symptoms are worsening. Severe or unusual symptoms need medical evaluation before chiropractic care.

How soon should I seek care after a fall?

Fall-related symptoms deserve assessment when pain, stiffness, or limited movement continues after the incident. Early details help connect the symptom pattern with the fall. Write down what happened and bring any available records. Seek urgent medical care for severe pain, loss of strength, major bleeding, confusion, or other emergency warning signs.

Which details should I bring to the first visit?

  • Describe how you landed and what hurt first.
  • List symptoms such as numbness, weakness, headaches, or joint pain.
  • Bring accident details or workers’ compensation information when available.

These details help our team plan the examination and explain the next step.

What changes the cost of care after a fall for Slip-and-Fall Injury Treatment?

The evaluation, affected body areas, treatment methods, and planned follow-up influence the cost. Our team explains the proposed care and provides free estimates before treatment decisions are made. Ask which parts of the plan are included and whether personal injury or workers’ compensation information affects the billing discussion.

Can chiropractic care help a joint sprain after falling?

Chiropractic care may support movement and pain management for some joint sprains after a fall. The fit depends on the examination and the joint involved. Our team checks movement and related symptoms before recommending care. A suspected fracture or serious injury needs medical evaluation before chiropractic treatment.

Why might headaches start after a fall?

Headaches after a fall can relate to neck strain, muscle tension, or a head injury. The symptom history matters, including when the headache began and whether it is changing. Tell the team about dizziness, confusion, vision changes, or vomiting. Those warning signs require medical attention before chiropractic care.
