Sports injury treatment and strength testing in Conley

Sports injury treatment begins with the question behind your pain. You may have hurt a shoulder, knee, hip, neck, or back during practice, competition, or regular exercise.

The assessment focuses on how the injury affects movement and function. We review your injury history, check joint motion, and look at tasks that matter to you. That detail helps us decide whether chiropractic care fits your needs.

The key decision is whether pain comes with a movement problem that our care can address. If symptoms suggest a need for medical evaluation, we explain that next step clearly.

  • Bring any available injury notes or medical records to the new patient intake.
  • Describe when the pain began and which movement makes it worse.
  • Tell us which sport, exercise, or daily task you want to resume.
  • Ask how the findings shape your personalized treatment plan.

The staff at the Hwy 20 facility in McDonough are very friendly. I felt welcomed when I called before starting treatment. When I arrive the first day for my first day the paper work was alot but I was incorraged to take my time. The people who work at this facility made me feel like family not just a patient. My treatment was not rushed. I was incorraged to go at my own pace. The facility is clean and well maintained. The Doctor was very professional and friendly. She listened to my complaints and concerns. She adjusted my treatment to my pain level. She did not rush to get me out of her office. She is patient and truly concerned about her patients. She and her staff are good people who show how they are concerned about the people who use their facilty. They are patient and welcoming. I do recommend their service to others in need.

Questions about sports injury treatment

How are sports injuries evaluated before treatment?

Strength testing helps Arrowhead Clinic Chiropractor McDonough assess sports injuries before treatment. We also review injury history, screen movement, test joints, and assess function. These checks show how symptoms affect your activity. The findings guide a discussion about chiropractic care and whether another medical evaluation may be more suitable.

What should I bring to the first injury visit?

Medical records and details about the injury help us prepare for the first visit. Bring imaging or treatment notes if you have them, plus a list of symptoms and activities that increase pain. You don't need an attorney or accident report to request a consultation. Your account of the injury remains an important part of the intake.

When is chiropractic care a good fit for a sports injury?

Chiropractic care may fit sports injuries that cause pain, limited movement, or reduced function. The assessment helps us judge that fit. We consider your injury history, joint motion, and activity limits before discussing care. Severe or unusual symptoms may need medical evaluation, and we explain that concern when it applies.

Which part of the injury changes the care plan?

The injured area, movement limits, and daily demands shape the care plan. A knee problem affecting stairs may need a different focus than shoulder pain affecting training. We connect the exam findings with your goals before discussing treatment. Individual response differs, so the plan follows the assessment rather than a fixed routine.

Why can pain remain after a sports injury seems minor?

Pain can remain when movement, joint function, or activity load still irritates the injured area. Rest alone doesn't show how the body moves during normal tasks. Our team reviews the injury history and checks function to identify useful next steps. If the findings point beyond chiropractic care, we explain that clearly.

How do I request a cost estimate for this care?

A cost estimate follows a discussion of the injury and the assessment or care being considered. Free estimates are available from our team. The injury area, examination needs, and treatment plan affect the final cost. We explain those services before care begins, so you can decide with clear information.
