Chiropractic Adjustment for neurological symptom screening

Chiropractic adjustment can support recovery after car accidents, workplace injuries, falls, and sports injuries. This page focuses on the buyer decision that matters most when symptoms suggest a possible nerve or spinal concern.

New or worsening neurological symptoms change the order of care. We ask about weakness, numbness, balance changes, and other warning signs before discussing an adjustment. Fractures, severe osteoporosis, and spinal infection also require medical review before this type of care.

Across Forest Park, our team delivers structured, detail-driven solutions built around each client's goals.

  • Describe when the pain or symptom began.
  • Bring any accident or workers’ compensation details you have.
  • Mention weakness, numbness, balance changes, or loss of control.
  • Ask how the exam affects the recommended care plan.

Service Overview

Chiropractic adjustment is a hands-on treatment that applies controlled force to a joint or part of the spine.

  • An adjustment differs from massage because it targets joint movement, while soft tissue therapy works on muscles and other soft tissues.
  • Our team provides chiropractic adjustment coverage for Forest Park patients through accident injury and pain care.

How we approach adjustment decisions

Screen warning signs first

Neurological symptoms require careful screening before adjustment care. We ask about weakness, numbness, balance changes, and other signs that may call for medical assessment.

Explain the care plan

Your report of findings connects the exam to the recommended plan. We use plain language and answer questions about adjustment, soft tissue therapy, and progress checks.

Know when care is not the fit

Adjustment care is not the right first step when a suspected fracture, severe osteoporosis, spinal infection, or serious neurological change needs medical review.

Process

How we complete chiropractic adjustment care

1

Complete the new patient intake

We record your health history, injury details, symptoms, and main treatment concerns.

2

Perform the health history and exam

The exam checks movement, pain patterns, and warning signs such as weakness, numbness, or balance changes.

3

Review clinically indicated imaging

We discuss X-rays if the exam supports imaging before adjustment care.

4

Explain the report of findings

We connect the exam findings to your care options and answer questions in plain language.

5

Apply the selected adjustment method

When adjustment care fits, we use an appropriate method such as diversified technique, Gonstead technique, or drop-table adjusting.

6

Check progress and update care

Progress re-examination helps us review symptoms and adjust the personalized treatment plan.

My experience at the McDonough, Georgia Arrowhead Clinic location has been AWESOME! The Ladies on Staff are welcoming, friendly and have been very attentive to me. After getting adjustments/treatment from them I leave there feeling less stiff and achy than when I got there. I would recommend everyone visit for an adjustment often. They'd be surprised at how it relieves pain and stiffness and helps the body relax and it calms the mind.

Questions about chiropractic adjustment safety and care

Prior to the appointment, who provides chiropractic adjustment for accident injuries during the initial assessment?

Arrowhead Clinic Chiropractor McDonough provides chiropractic adjustment for accident injuries and related pain. Our team reviews the injury history, performs an exam, and explains the report of findings. Care may address whiplash, neck pain, back pain, motorcycle accident injuries, truck accident injuries, or sports injuries when the treatment plan fits the findings.

What does the first visit check before an adjustment for Chiropractic Adjustment?

The first visit checks your health history, injury details, symptoms, movement, and warning signs. The intake also covers pain location and changes since the accident or injury. X-rays may be discussed if clinically indicated. These findings guide whether adjustment, soft tissue therapy, medical review, or another next step is appropriate.

How do fractures change the adjustment decision?

A suspected fracture changes the decision because adjustment may be unsafe before the injury receives medical review. The exam focuses on the injury history, pain pattern, and warning signs. Share accident records or prior imaging when available. We explain the next step when the findings point beyond routine chiropractic care.

Which conditions need special caution before care?

Fractures, severe osteoporosis, and spinal infection need special caution before chiropractic adjustment. These conditions can change the risks of applying force to the spine or joints. Tell our team about known diagnoses, recent injuries, fever, or unusual pain during intake. We use that information when discussing care options.

Why might a report of findings change my plan?

A report of findings can change the plan because exam results may show that adjustment is not the first step. The report connects your symptoms with movement findings and relevant health history. We explain the reason for the recommendation and discuss available chiropractic care when the findings support it.
