Pediatric Chiropractic Care is a child-focused service that evaluates movement, comfort, and spinal function before care options are discussed.

About

How child-focused chiropractic care fits your family

Pediatric Chiropractic Care begins with the child's story. We ask about symptoms, daily activities, health history, and the parent's main concern. The examination helps us decide what information matters next. We may discuss movement, posture, comfort, and whether further evaluation is needed. We explain care options before treatment, so parents know what to expect. Our approach is careful and practical. We don't promise a fixed result, because each child's response differs. Parents should also seek medical care for serious symptoms, major injury, or concerns outside chiropractic care.

Process

What happens during a child-focused visit

1

Share the child’s health history

The parent or guardian describes symptoms, activities, prior concerns, and the reason for the visit. This gives the visit a clear starting point.

2

Complete the examination

We assess the child's movement, posture, and reported discomfort. X-rays are considered only if clinically indicated.

3

Review the findings together

We explain what the examination shows in plain language. Parents can ask questions before choosing a care path.

4

Set the personalized care plan

We tailor care to the child's condition, goals, and needs. The plan may include education, care visits, and progress discussions.

5

Check progress and next steps

We discuss how the child is responding and whether the plan still fits. Ongoing wellness education supports informed family decisions.

What to bring to a child-focused chiropractic visit

A few details can help us understand the child's concern from the first discussion.

  • A parent or legal guardian who can describe the concern and answer health history questions.
  • A list of current symptoms, including when they began and which activities affect them.
  • Information about sports, school activities, sleep, posture, or movement changes.
  • Relevant medical records or imaging reports, when available.
  • Questions about care options, follow-up, and wellness education.

Questions parents ask about care for children

Who provides pediatric chiropractic care in McDonough?

Arrowhead Clinic Chiropractor McDonough provides pediatric chiropractic care for children and families in the area. Dr. Robbyn Keating, DC, leads the office. The visit begins with a health history and examination, followed by an explanation of care options. A parent or guardian takes part in the discussion and can ask questions before treatment.

Is chiropractic care good for every child?

Chiropractic care isn't right for every child, so an evaluation comes first. We review the child's symptoms, health history, activity, and parent concerns before discussing options. Results vary between children. Parents should seek medical attention for serious injury, severe symptoms, or concerns that need care outside chiropractic services.

When should a child see a chiropractor?

A child may benefit from an evaluation when discomfort, posture changes, headaches, or movement concerns affect daily life. We ask when the concern began and what activities affect it. Parents don't need an attorney or accident report for this service. Our team can explain the findings and next steps after the visit.

What happens during the first visit?

The first visit includes a new patient intake, health history, examination, and discussion of care options. Parents describe the child's symptoms and daily activities. We may consider X-rays if clinically indicated. After reviewing the findings, we explain a personalized care plan and what the family can expect before treatment begins.

How much does a child-focused chiropractic visit cost?

The cost depends on the evaluation, care needs, and services included in the plan. We don't publish an amount for this service here. Our team can explain the available options and provide a free consultation for auto accident injury victims. Ask about the visit details before choosing care.

Can care be adjusted for different ages?

Yes, the care discussion and plan are adapted to the child's age, size, symptoms, and ability to describe discomfort. We start with the parent’s concerns and the child’s health history. Then we explain the examination findings in plain language. Individual response differs, so follow-up decisions are based on progress and need.

Can children receive care after sports-related discomfort?

Yes, we provide chiropractic care for sports injuries after reviewing the child’s symptoms and activity. The examination helps us understand movement and reported discomfort. Parents should share when the issue began and which activity affects it. We explain whether chiropractic care fits the concern and discuss other care needs when appropriate.

When Customers Call Us About Pediatric Chiropractic Care

1

Headaches Affecting School Activities

A child with repeated headaches may also show changes in posture, sleep, or daily activity. Those details help us understand the concern, but they don't identify the cause by themselves. We review the health history and complete an examination before discussing care options. Parents in McDonough can request a consultation to decide whether this service fits the child.

2

Sports Discomfort After Practice

A young athlete may report neck, back, shoulder, or hip discomfort after practice. The child’s activity level and movement pattern matter because the care plan should fit daily demands. We ask about the activity, examine the reported concern, and explain the next step to the parent or guardian before treatment.

3

Parent Seeking a Second Opinion

Some parents want another view before choosing care for a child with posture changes or ongoing discomfort. Bring the child’s health history and any available records, then describe the concern in everyday terms. Our team reviews the information, explains what the examination shows, and outlines care options without promising a set outcome.
