About

How neck pain care fits your symptoms and goals

Neck pain treatment starts with the reason your symptoms began. We ask about accidents, work activity, sports, sleep, movement, and related headaches or shoulder pain. Our team then reviews the health history and performs a focused exam. X-rays may be considered when clinically indicated. We explain the findings and care options before treatment, so you understand what each step is meant to address. The right plan depends on the injury, symptom pattern, and progress over time. A progress re-examination helps us review changes and decide whether the plan still fits. Individual response differs, and results aren't guaranteed. For neck pain, we recommend measuring progress by function as well as pain. Better movement, easier daily tasks, and fewer symptom triggers give a fuller picture than one pain rating alone.

What Neck Pain Treatment Covers

Neck Pain Treatment is a chiropractic care service that evaluates neck symptoms and guides care for pain, stiffness, and injury-related concerns.

  • Neck pain care differs from general wellness visits because it begins with a focused symptom and injury review.
  • The service includes care for patients in McDonough and surrounding communities through the clinic's Georgia and South Carolina locations.
Process

Steps from neck pain evaluation to progress review

1

Share the symptom and injury history

We review when the pain began, what changes it, and whether an accident, work injury, sports injury, or fall preceded it.

2

Complete the neck evaluation

We assess the neck and ask about related symptoms such as headaches, shoulder pain, or whiplash. X-rays may be considered if clinically indicated.

3

Review the findings and options

We explain the findings and care options before treatment. The plan reflects your condition, goals, and needs.

4

Track function during follow-up

A progress re-examination helps us review movement, daily activities, and symptom changes. We adjust the plan when the findings call for it.

5

Discuss the estimate

We explain what the planned care includes and provide free estimates when appropriate, so you can review the expected work before proceeding.

What to prepare before neck pain care

Bring details that help us connect your symptoms with the event or activity that started them.

  • Write down when the neck pain began and what makes it better or worse.
  • Bring any available accident, workplace, or sports injury details.
  • List medicines, past injuries, and related symptoms such as headaches or shoulder pain.
  • Think about daily tasks that became harder after the pain began.

Questions about neck pain evaluation and care

Who provides neck pain treatment at the McDonough clinic?

Arrowhead Clinic Chiropractor McDonough provides neck pain treatment at its McDonough clinic. Dr. Robbyn Keating, DC, leads the office. Our team reviews your symptoms, health history, and injury details before explaining care options. The clinic treats neck pain linked with whiplash, car accidents, workplace injuries, sports injuries, and everyday pain.

What happens during the first neck pain evaluation?

The first evaluation includes a health history and focused neck exam. We ask when symptoms began, what changes them, and whether an accident or work activity caused them. We also discuss related headaches, shoulder pain, or back pain. X-rays may be considered if clinically indicated, and we explain findings before treatment.

What factors affect the cost of neck pain care?

The care plan, evaluation needs, related injuries, and treatment choices affect the cost. Free estimates are available when appropriate. We explain what the planned care includes before treatment, so you can review the expected services. Insurance benefits verification, workers compensation details, or personal injury information may also affect the billing discussion.

Can neck pain care help after a car accident?

Neck pain care can address symptoms that follow a car accident, including whiplash, stiffness, headaches, and related shoulder discomfort. Our team reviews the collision history and performs a focused exam. You don't need to wait for an attorney before discussing care. Bring available accident details and tell us how symptoms affect daily tasks.

Is chiropractic care or physical therapy better for neck pain?

Neither option is better for every patient because the right choice depends on the injury and exam findings. We assess your neck symptoms, explain available care options, and discuss what each step addresses. Patients with accident injuries may also need coordination with other medical care. Individual response differs, so progress reviews matter.

What should I bring to my first neck pain visit?

Your symptom history, injury details, medicine list, and available medical records help us begin the evaluation. Bring accident or workplace information when it relates to the pain. You don't need an attorney to discuss care. Tell us which movements, work tasks, or daily activities became harder after symptoms began.

When should neck pain receive prompt attention?

Neck pain needs prompt attention after an accident, fall, or sudden change in symptoms. Severe or unusual symptoms require medical assessment, especially when they involve weakness, numbness, or other concerning changes. Our team can discuss chiropractic care after an evaluation, but urgent medical symptoms need appropriate medical attention first.

When Customers Call Us About Neck Pain Treatment

1

Neck pain after a car accident

Neck pain after a collision may appear with stiffness, headaches, or shoulder discomfort. The injury details and symptom changes matter during the first visit, even when the pain feels manageable. Our team reviews your health history and performs a focused neck exam. Bring the accident details and explain which daily movements now feel harder.

2

Pain that affects work tasks

Work-related neck pain can change with lifting, desk work, driving, or repeated movement. The care plan needs to reflect the task that triggers symptoms and the function you need to regain. We review your work demands during intake, then explain the findings and available care options before treatment.

3

Recurring neck pain and headaches

Recurring neck pain with headaches can make it hard to judge what is improving. We ask when the symptoms start, how they affect daily tasks, and whether an earlier injury still matters. A focused exam and progress review give us a way to compare changes. Prepare a short symptom history before your visit.
