About

How pregnancy changes the chiropractic care conversation

Pregnancy can change posture, balance, sleep position, and daily movement. Those changes can contribute to back pain, hip discomfort, or muscle tension. We start with a new patient intake, health history, and exam. We ask about symptoms, pregnancy-related concerns, current care, and the activities that feel harder now. That information helps us discuss whether chiropractic care fits your needs. Our team explains the planned approach before treatment. Care may include gentle, pregnancy-appropriate positioning and hands-on chiropractic methods, but the right choice depends on the individual evaluation. We don't promise the same result for every patient. The main buyer decision is fit. Tell us about your pregnancy, symptoms, health concerns, and any advice from your medical care team before treatment.

Process

Steps in a pregnancy-focused chiropractic visit

1

Share your health history

We review pregnancy-related details, symptoms, prior injuries, and current concerns during the new patient intake.

2

Complete the examination

We assess movement and affected areas, then consider whether further evaluation is appropriate.

3

Review the care options

We explain the findings and discuss a personalized treatment plan before any care begins.

4

Adjust the plan as needed

We use follow-up discussions and symptom changes to guide the next care decision.

Questions about pregnancy-focused chiropractic visits

Who provides prenatal chiropractic care at your clinic?

Arrowhead Clinic Chiropractor McDonough provides prenatal chiropractic care under Dr. Robbyn Keating, DC. We begin with a health history and exam, then explain care options before treatment. The plan considers your symptoms, pregnancy-related concerns, goals, and current care. Patients can discuss their needs with our team before deciding whether to proceed.

Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?

Pregnancy-focused chiropractic care requires an individual health review before treatment. We ask about your pregnancy, symptoms, health history, and current medical guidance. Then we explain whether the proposed approach fits your situation. Severe, sudden, or unusual symptoms need prompt medical attention, and chiropractic care doesn't replace medical evaluation.

What happens during the first pregnancy chiropractic visit?

The first visit includes a new patient intake, health history, and examination. We discuss where discomfort occurs, how it affects movement, and what care you already receive. After the assessment, we explain findings and possible care options. You can ask questions before any treatment begins.

What changes the care plan during pregnancy?

Pregnancy stage, symptoms, health history, movement limits, and personal goals can change the care plan. We review those details during the intake and explain the reason for each proposed step. Individual response also matters, so follow-up discussions help us decide whether the plan still fits your needs.

Can prenatal chiropractic visits address hip and lower back discomfort?

Hip and lower back discomfort are concerns we can assess during a pregnancy-focused visit. We ask how the symptoms affect walking, sleep, position changes, and daily tasks. Our team then explains suitable options based on the examination. Results vary, and care doesn't guarantee relief from pain.

Do I need a referral before discussing pregnancy chiropractic care?

A referral isn't required for a free consultation with our team. We still review your health history, symptoms, and current pregnancy care before discussing treatment. Share any guidance from your medical care team so we can include it in the care conversation. We explain next steps before treatment begins.

When Customers Call Us About Prenatal Chiropractic Care

1

Back discomfort during daily movement

Pregnancy-related back discomfort can make standing, walking, or changing position harder. The key issue is how the symptom affects your day and whether other health concerns are present. Bring those details to the intake so we can review your history, examine movement, and explain suitable care options before treatment.

2

Hip pain affecting sleep positions

Hip discomfort may become more noticeable when sleep positions change during pregnancy. The right discussion starts with the location, pattern, and effect on rest, along with relevant pregnancy details. We can review those concerns during a consultation and explain whether a personalized chiropractic plan fits your needs.

3

Questions about treatment safety

Some patients want to understand treatment fit before any adjustment. That concern deserves a clear health history, symptom review, and explanation of the proposed approach. Share advice from your medical care team, then ask us what each step involves so you can make an informed choice about care.
