Trigger point therapy addresses tight bands of muscle that feel sore when pressed or used. Our team may use hands-on pressure and soft tissue therapy to assess those areas and support normal movement.

This page helps you decide whether focused muscle care fits your concern. It may suit people with localized muscle tension, neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, or discomfort after an accident.

The service has limits. Severe symptoms, sudden weakness, loss of feeling, or signs of a serious injury call for medical evaluation. We review your health history and explain when another form of care may be more suitable.

  • Identify where muscle tension and tenderness affect daily movement.
  • Discuss accident injuries, sports injuries, or workplace injuries during intake.
  • Review whether gentle stretching or heat therapy fits your symptoms.

What to consider before choosing this care

Start with the affected muscle

The first visit focuses on your symptoms, movement, and tender areas. A patient-focused chiropractic team explains the findings in plain language before care proceeds.

Match care to the injury

Trigger point therapy may fit localized muscle tension after an accident or strain. It may not be the right service for sudden weakness, serious trauma, or symptoms that need medical evaluation.

Use a plan you understand

Personalized care plans connect hands-on treatment with practical steps such as gentle stretching and heat therapy. You can ask questions before deciding on the next visit.

When this service is the right fit

A person in Forest Park may seek focused muscle care after a collision, workplace strain, or sports injury. We review the painful area, related symptoms, and movement limits before choosing hands-on therapy or another care path.

My experience at the McDonough, Georgia Arrowhead Clinic location has been AWESOME! The Ladies on Staff are welcoming, friendly and have been very attentive to me. After getting adjustments/treatment from them I leave there feeling less stiff and achy than when I got there. I would recommend everyone visit for an adjustment often. They'd be surprised at how it relieves pain and stiffness and helps the body relax and it calms the mind.

Questions about focused muscle treatment

How does the first visit assess a tender muscle area?

The first visit reviews your health history, symptoms, movement, and tender muscle areas. We ask what activities increase discomfort and whether an accident or work injury is involved. The findings guide the care plan. X-rays may be considered if clinically indicated, but they are not part of every visit.

Which symptoms suggest this treatment may not fit?

Sudden weakness, loss of feeling, serious trauma, or severe unexplained pain may require medical evaluation first. Trigger point therapy focuses on tender muscle and soft tissue concerns. Our team reviews warning signs during intake and explains when another care path is more appropriate.

Why might muscle pain return after treatment?

Muscle pain may return when the same activity keeps stressing the area. Repeated lifting, poor movement habits, or an untreated injury can affect comfort. We review the activity that brings symptoms back and discuss stretching, heat therapy, or a broader chiropractic plan when appropriate.

What part of this care changes the estimate?

The assessment and recommended care plan shape the estimate. Areas treated, injury history, related symptoms, and the need for broader evaluation can affect the work involved. Free estimates are available. Our team explains the expected care before treatment begins.

Can accident patients request same-day treatment?

Auto accident injury victims can request same-day treatment through our clinic. Availability depends on the office schedule and the care needed. We discuss your symptoms by phone, then review whether trigger point therapy fits the injury. The clinic also provides free consultations for accident-related concerns.
