Myofascial Release Therapy in Riverdale for Tender Point Care

Myofascial release therapy addresses tight or sensitive soft tissue that may add to neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, or reduced comfort after an injury. The work focuses on how tissue feels and responds during hands-on care, not on a diagnosis from symptoms alone.

Riverdale patients may seek this service after a car accident, sports injury, slip-and-fall injury, or daily strain. Our team reviews your health history, performs an exam, and explains whether soft tissue therapy fits the care plan.

A key decision is whether the main concern comes from soft tissue tension or needs another type of evaluation. We may combine this work with chiropractic care when that approach fits your needs, but results vary and individual response differs.

  • Describe where the tightness or tenderness occurs.
  • Review injury history and current symptoms during intake.
  • Discuss whether soft tissue therapy fits the care plan.
  • Explain how pressure will be adjusted during treatment.
  • Request a free estimate before care begins.

How We Approach This Soft Tissue Work

Pressure follows your response

The first contact helps us judge how the tissue responds. We change pressure when an area feels too sensitive, so the session stays focused on the findings we can assess.

Care starts with an exam

A new patient intake and health history help place the soft tissue concern in context. We explain the report of findings before discussing a personalized treatment plan.

Know when another evaluation fits

Myofascial release therapy may not be the right first step for severe, unexplained, or rapidly changing symptoms. We discuss the concern and direct the care plan based on the exam.

My experience at the McDonough, Georgia Arrowhead Clinic location has been AWESOME! The Ladies on Staff are welcoming, friendly and have been very attentive to me. After getting adjustments/treatment from them I leave there feeling less stiff and achy than when I got there. I would recommend everyone visit for an adjustment often. They'd be surprised at how it relieves pain and stiffness and helps the body relax and it calms the mind.

Questions About This Soft Tissue Care

When comparing options, what sensations may occur during myofascial release therapy during the on-site evaluation?

Tender points may feel sensitive during gradual pressure on tight fascia and soft tissue. Mild pressure or focused tenderness can occur, but you should tell us if the sensation feels too strong. We adjust the technique to your response and explain what we’re checking as care continues.

How does the first assessment decide whether this care fits?

The first assessment compares your symptoms with health history and exam findings. We check the reported area, nearby soft tissue, and movement that feels limited or painful. Those findings help us decide whether hands-on release belongs in your care plan or whether another evaluation should come first.

Which injuries may lead someone to ask about soft tissue release?

Car accident injuries, whiplash, sports injuries, and daily muscle strain may lead someone to ask about soft tissue release. The service focuses on tension in fascia and muscle, not every cause of pain. Our team reviews the injury and explains whether this approach fits the findings.

When should I ask about this care after an accident for Myofascial Release Therapy?

Accident-related pain deserves an assessment when symptoms affect comfort, movement, or daily activity. Riverdale patients can discuss neck pain, back pain, or other injury concerns with our team during a consultation. Seek urgent medical care for severe symptoms or a medical emergency before chiropractic treatment.

Why might pressure feel different across the treated area?

Pressure may feel different because tissue sensitivity and tension vary across the treated area. Our team starts with what the exam shows and changes contact as your body responds. Clear feedback helps us keep the work focused and decide whether continued soft tissue care fits the plan.
